ACTÍVA's Free Art Education Summer Camp
In June, ACTÍVA Products, Inc. and the Michelson Museum of Art collaborated to bring free art education summer camp classes to children in the Marshall, Texas area.
Local artist Audrey Lozano taught students in Grades 1-3 how to make simple sculptures, masks, and sand art; introducing them to art materials many had not used before. Creativity blossomed as the children discovered innovative ways of using colored sand, plaster cloth, and air-dry clay to make beautiful works of art.
ACTÍVA says they are proud to sponsor art education and advocacy efforts.
There is unprecedented enthusiasm among young art collectors today for discovering local artists. www.artworkarvhive.com
Namta recently received some photos from one of our 2019 Grant Recipients and wanted to share them with all of our members to remind all of you, at this difficult time, the importance to continue to keep the arts alive and thriving. As Peter Kelly who works in Foundation Relations at Mercy Home for Boys & Girls comments – “it’s so awesome to see moments like these when our kids are having fun and expressing themselves.” Thank you Namta members for helping to make this possible.
